This mystery case deal is for six bottles of a 2023 Sicilian white wine from a variety called Grillo.  It's from a well known producer who has sourced the grapes from the Western coastline of Sicily - from Petrosino, Trapani and Marzara del Vallo areas - Grillo is a fresh, light-bodied dry white wine with honeyed, citrus and stonefruit characters.

Winemaking:
Vines here are cultivated in chalky soils with sandy patches, and are of average age 20–25 years. Harvested from late August to early September, the grapes are whole bunch pressed and cool-fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and aroma. Vegan friendly.

Appellation:
Sicilia DOC

Tasting note:
"A honeyed, floral and spicy nose with hints of ginger and stone fruit. Ripe, sun-dried citrus characters on the palate with savoury notes and a creamy texture. Fresh balancing acidity on the lightly nutty finish."

Seafood, particularly grilled tuna, calamari or octopus.
