What started with one single vineyard Pinot Noir from 2015 has now grown into a full range of wines from several carefully chosen vineyards across Marlborough, showcasing the very best of Marlborough - Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Malbec. Palate weight, concentration and intensity of flavour are the three pillars of Calrossie Vineyards' wines.
Tasting Note - Sauvignon Blanc
"Our 2025 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc has vibrant aromas of crushed herbs, jalapeño and seaspray. The palate is dry, focused and refreshing, with flavours of finger lime, white peach and nectarine. The finish is balanced, long and lingering."
Tasting Note - Chardonnay
"From rich clay soils and high-density planted vines, our organically grown Chardonnay delivers flavours of fresh citrus and white peach, with subtle cues of oyster shell, biscuit and toasted hazelnut. Full of aroma and vibrant acidity, this wine will drink well from now but continue to reveal more with time through to late 2030."
Tasting Note - Syrah
"From rich clay soils and high-density planted vines, our organically grown Syrah is packed with red berries, violets, graphite and wild herbs. Beautifully ripe at harvest, and matured in aged French oak for 21 months, this wine is full of structure and will drink well now, but continue to reveal more with time through to late 2028"
Tasting Note - Malbec
"From rich clay soils and high-density planted vines, our organically grown Malbec is full of flavour; black cherry, cassis, blueberry and even a hint of cacao. Matured in French oak (10% new) for 21 months, this wine is full of structure and will drink well now, but continue to reveal more with time through to late 2030."
