Flora is a brand new 'field blend' which is the name given to when a number of varieties have been harvested from one vineyard and fermented together.

This white blend showcases the complexity and interest that can be achieved from a balanced blend of different varieties each chosen for their best attributes - body, acidity, flavour and aroma - all dialed-up, on-show and absolutely delicious.

This is a dry white wine with the overall blend contributing more than the sum of its parts.

Aromas of white orchard flowers, peach and salt. Flavours of candied lemon, grapefruit pith, quince, granny smith and rosewater. The palate is rich and satiating but the acidity tingles the palate and keeps you wanting more. Salinity, spice and musk from the aromatic varieties add complexity to the finish.

Flora is from one vineyard in the Waihopai Valley subregion of Marlborough. Each variety was picked at optimum ripeness and then added to a co-ferment in stainless steel tank to preserve freshness and aroma. Once fermented it was transferred into a 3000L oval cask and French oak barrels where it rested for 12 months on fine yeast lees before being bottled.

35% Pinot Gris, 31% Chardonnay, 23% Sauvignon Blanc, 7% Riesling and 4% Gewürztraminer.
