A classic French rosé - Pale, bright and wonderfully fresh, with aromas of summer berries, white florals and citrus. The palate is dry and lively, combining juicy red-fruit flavours with a refreshing seam of acidity and a subtle savoury edge. Light-bodied, crisp and effortlessly drinkable, with a clean, vibrant finish. An easy-drinking rosé for every day of the week.
Tasting Notes:
"Aromas of crushed berries (soft white and red currants) and appealing fruit flavours. Dry, with a burst of fruit and a refreshing finish. This is a friendly, fresh rosé with real character."
Production Notes:
With a return to Gascony IGP for the 2021 vintage, this cuvée is made of equal parts Cabernet Franc and Merlot with a touch of the local Tannat grape variety to add body. The secret of the winemaking is to capture all the delicate aromatics and flavours of the red grape varieties but then to cool vinify the pale-coloured juice with all the expertise of white wine vinifcation to create a crisp, refreshing and easy drinking wine. The wine is grown and vinified sustainably, achieving HVE3 certification.
About Cuvée Jean-Paul:
Of all the wines we produce and represent, it is the small Cuvée Jean-Paul range that truly epitomises the Boutinot story and our philosophy. Since the first bottling it has formed the backbone of our company and has proven our expertise in blending. Cuvée Jean-Paul remains Boutinot’s biggest selling French house-wine in the UK. Each year, selected cuvées from the south and west of France are blended to consistently produce wines that have elegance and flavour. The full range is now HVE3 sustainable certified.
