"Bright, even, pale yellow. This has a generous, vibrant bouquet with aromas of stonefruit, citrus, almond shavings and delicate spice. Medium-full bodied, aromas of lemon and grapefruit melded with nectarine, almond shavings, spice and Greek yoghurt. The round/ creamy mouthfeel flows effortlessly with tangy acid, along with fine-textured phenolics and subtle almond hints to a dry, long finish. This Chardonnay is forward and elegant, with lovely palate weight and texture. Match with prawns and fish over the next 3-4 years. Handpicked, wild-fermented in small and large format French oak (approx 5% new oak), underwent full MLF, aged on gross lees for 12 months. Unfined, unfiltered. 6 Chardonnays

The two French wines, Jura and Bourgogne Blanc were both very good. The Bourgogne Blanc has a rich creamy note on the palate and the nose offers and interesting astringent note. The Jura is just delicious.
Longbush Chardonnay from Gisborne reflects the strength of Chardonnay grapes in that region. Overall, a selection of very tasty wines.
