2023 Lauren Langfield 'Brini' Grenache
From: McLaren Vale, Australia
From rising star Lauren Langfield comes this elegant, light yet concentrated McLaren Vale Grenache. Early season strawberries, cherries, and pomegranates, and the alluring hint of spice and toasted peppercorn. Suits a chill!
2023 Basket Range 'Hills' Chardonnay
From: Adelaide Hills, Australia
On the nose - lemons galore. On the palate, it's fresh and energetic, with a fine line of citrussy acidity, hints of florals and white peach. Oak is present but well-integrated and offers nice toasty complexity on the finish.
2017 Muchada - Léclapart 'Lumiere' Palomino
From: Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Jerez, Spain
A truly special one here which, while a natural wine is also very much a fine wine. This is 100% Palomino, intense and rich, but very balanced. A dry, razor’s edge of acidity balanced by mineralic, chalky texture and great persistence, flavour and length. In 2020 Jancis Robinson wrote about Muchada-Léclapart being a ‘Star of tomorrow’ and thought that unfortified Palomino from Andalusia has the capacity of becoming one of the most profound white wines in the world.
2023 Salamandre Rouge Syrah
From: Costières de Nîmes, France
Salamandre Rouge is that darker, incredibly fruity and plump Southern Rhône red that shows the warmth of the region but the finesse of the variety. Light on its feet and very crowd-pleasing, an excellent summer red for a long, balmy evening!
2021 Vino di Anna 'Jeudi 15' Etna Bianco
From: Mt Etna, Sicily
A new cuvée from Vino di Anna, Jeudi 15 Bianco is an intriguing blend of white grapes, hand-harvested from numerous small vineyards high on the north face of Mt Etna. Mid straw in colour, the dominant nose is fresh citrus and a whisper of florals. Dry, crisp and fresh on the palate with lemon and grapefruit, subtle nuttiness and an underlying salty minerality on the finish.
2022 Les Bardets 'Rouge' Braucol Blend
From: Gaillac, France
Inky and dark in the glass, the aroma is incredibly rich and filling. Blackberry, cassis and plum. Soft and chalky, but present tannins. Great persistence of flavour and moreish too. As the label suggests this is a red you can pour yourself a big glass of and enjoy on its own or with any meal.
