La Famille is a family of wines showcasing the most iconic wines of the world; Chardonnay from Burgundy, Chenin Blanc from Vouvray, Montepulciano from Abruzzo, Tempranillo from Rioja and even Sparkling Shiraz from Barossa.

The 2024 La Famille Chablis has been sourced directly from Domaine Chatelain de Oliveira, who have been producing top-quality Chablis since 1955. 

Designation: Chablis AOC

Estate grown at the Domaine in Fontenay-près-Chablis, where the soils are Kimmeridgian clay and limestone and the average vine age is 40 years, the fruit was hand harvested, gently pressed and then wild fermented in stainless steel tanks and then aged on fine yeast lees for 12 months to build texture and mouthfeel. 

Elegant and aromatic, expect white flowers, granny smith apple and lime, flickered with mineral-driven notes of oyster shell and seaspray. Fresh and bracing, this wine is utterly delicious. Sourced directly from the grower, this Chablis punches well about its weight and must be the best value Chablis in NZ.
