2020 Why Try So Hard? is a blend of Chenin Blanc, Muscat à Petit Grains and a tiny wee splash of carbonic-macerated Grenache! Juicy orchard fruit, some very fine, chalky texture from the skinsy bits, a saline acidity and a lively, spicy mid-palate. I guess a bit like Patrick Sullivan's Breakfast Wine it's unusual but universally delicious... Not a far reach for anyone familiar with Jauma really!
And as always with Jauma: organic, wild fermented, unfiltered, unfined and made with no additions whatsoever.
Everyday Wine has a tiny allocation of 2 kegs only! Run, don’t walk!
