90% Chardonnay (and about 10% Muscat) grown in Basket Town by champion Organic farmer Dave Freschi (who also grows for Gareth at Gentle Folk). Vineyard at 500m elevation, thin clay and sandstone soils. Crazy density of 10,000 vines/hectare and dry-grown since day one. 3-4 tonnes per hectare, even in a good year. Crushed underfoot, fermented and matured in one single 600L demi-muid for 11 months. Its a spicy, saline Chardonnay with white peach and nectarine. Just the one demi-muid so only 600L produced.
Everyday Wine got a tiny allocation of 12 bottles of each cuvée!
