The first time Julien produced Métisse it was an equal blend of Gamay Noir and Chardonnay (the name Métis or Métisse meaning of mixed race). Nowadays this is mostly Gamay Noir, but with a touch of Aligoté and Chardonnay in there too. A pure, fresh fruited delight of a chilled red - equal parts juicy and savoury.
Gamay from Burgundy- hen's teeth!
