O Pando Orange is from several once-abandoned vineyards dotted around Valdeorras which are mostly on clay soils and planted in the 1950s. The variety Godello ("Go-day-yo") is hand harvested, destemmed by hand into 400 litre Juan Padilla tinajas and left to rest for 5 months on skins. Pressed, then settled in stainless steel before being bottled unfiltered, unfined and without any added sulphites, this is a richer, textural vino naranja (orange wine) with citrus, baked apple, chamomile, and a delicate briney, mineral finish. Local cuisine would have you enjoy this with any seafood, pork or poultry.
