2018 Gentle Folk x Ochota Barrels "Father’s Milk" Pinot Noir

A special collaboration between two of the Basket Range's best; Gareth Belton (Gentle Folk) and Taras Ochota (Ochota Barrels).

Father's Milk is a Pinot Noir from a single dry-grown organic vineyard in the Basket Range of the Adelaide Hills, known as Scary Gully. Rigorous work in the vineyard has allowed for a Pinot Noir of much higher complexity than the standard Adelaide Hills affair. The low and slow handling of the fruit and attention to detail by these two fascinating producers yielding a compelling Pinot Noir of rare quality from the region.

Gareth & Taras started Father's Milk in 2016 as a result of both families welcoming new children into the world. The idea was to each make a barrel of wine from the same vineyard, and give something back to their kids from day one. Thus, all proceeds from this wine go to their kids.

We were allocated just 12 bottles.
