2016 Valmont Wines 'Orgasmic' Pét Nat

A fruitful but savoury Pet Nat made from Pinot Noir from Waipara, North Canterbury. It's a Blanc de Noir of sorts, that is it's a white wine made from red fruit (by quickly taking the juice away from the pressed skins), but still with primary fruit flavour, palate weight and width. 

Valmont Wines were made by French couple Jean-Yves & Sophie who moved to New Zealand after working for Yvon Métras in Beaujolais and Matthieu Barret at Domaine du Coulet in Cornas for a number of years. In 2018 there was a change in ownership and winemaker too. We we recently offered the opportunity to purchase all of the wines made by Jean-Yves before the change - an easy decision!
