The latest wine in the Animus series draws on Syrah (35%) more than ever before; its' gifts to the aromatic spectrum are apparent with more forest spice than is typical for pure Pinot Noir (65%). The wine is a twin vineyard assemblage with its core being driven from homeblock and a lift coming from a limestone site of higher altitude. Regardless the wine is perfumed, perhaps more so than any of its predecessors the palate relays its youthful nervosity fresh and chalky signaling a comfortable ride ahead even without added preservatives. Enjoy sometime in the the next 6 years or so depending on your patience and preference for aged character.
