Hi everyone, Dan here, please allow me:
Pet Nat Rosé from Joé Chandellier. Just when I thought I was getting pet nat fatigue we landed this Grenache and Aramon number from a true vigneron in the South of France. Dry, fruity but not too fruity, super fresh, super clean. If you've enjoyed Moussamoussettes, BK Pet Nat Pinot, Pink Fizz or Petina give this a look.
Grenache from Jumping Juice. The core lineup of Jumping Juices are just that, juice. This wine of theirs is much more serious, hence the single vineyard label. It's Grenache from a 90 year old vineyard in South Australia, but made in a lighter, not over-extracted or jammy style. It's layered and complex enough it can handle a slight chill but doesn’t rely on one.
Côte de Brouilly from Alex Foillard. Alex’s father Jean is one of the last standing pioneers of Beaujolais’s renaissance and it's safe to say the Foillard name is in safe hands. 100% Gamay Noir. Hillside. 60 year old vines. Schist and granite soils. Fermented and matured in concrete for purity of fruit and texture. Bright red fruits, rhubarb, raspberry, cranberry, crushed herbs, talcy tannins.
