2019 Amoise Gris
Grapes: certified BioGro organic Pinot Gris with 5% Gewurtztraminer, Co-fermented.
Hand-picked & vineyard sorted on March 17th, 2019.
Origin: Mangatahi terraces, Maraekakaho (a bit higher in elevation, cooler and later ripening site, great acidity).
Soils: intermediate river terrace, coarse, sandy loam with red metal overlays. Low in fertility.
Winemaking: indigenous vineyard yeasts, de-stemmed & hand-plunged once a day during fermentation. Macerated 22 days on skins before pressing into old barrels.
No additions were done at any stage, including SO2.
Unfiltered, unfined. 783 bottles made.
