Moscato Giallo & Vermentino organically grown by the Chalmers family on the slopes of Mt Camel in Heathcote, Victoria.
Long steady ferment in 100% stainless without any additions, approximately 3 weeks on skins then pressed and aged in stainless steel. Racked only once, then bottled by gravity.
An incredible whack of florals on the nose; stonefruit, perfume, musk and spring flowers. The palate incredibly light, fresh and pure with a cool, slatey steelyness to it. Long, lengthy, saline finish.
We tasted this wine from tank earlier in the year and again in bottle on arrival into New Zealand.... Dane's 2021s are quite a leap this year in terms of quality, complexity and concentration.
Organic, hand harvested, wild fermented, unfiltered, unfined, vegan. Minimal sulphites added at bottling.
