2017 Valmont Wines 'No Compromise' Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir from Waipara, North Canterbury, affectionately known as New Zealand's best Pinot Noir grape growing region with both clay and limestone soils, interesting vineyard sites, good elevation and a cool, temperate climate.

Beautiful, dense, dark, structured Pinot.

Valmont Wines were made by the lovely French couple Jean-Yves & Sophie who moved to New Zealand after working for Yvon Métras in Beaujolais and Matthieu Barret at Domaine du Coulet in Cornas for a number of years. Sadly, our friends have moved back to France, but when we were recently offered the opportunity to purchase all of the 2017 wines made by Jean-Yves it was an easy decision!
